at the beginning of 2020 owner amanda tipps was taking a break from her career while on maternity leave and to her great surprise that maternity leave ended up lasting a year and a half due to the pandemic. turns out this unexpected pause became the perfect opportunity for a reset and amanda decided that when it was time to go back to the salon that it would be time to do something different.

Upon restarting her career amanda made a commitment to offer only eco-conscious products and services and she also began her journey as a cut specialist. and through the alchemy of combining intentional products with intentional service offerings ritual space was born.

in the later half of 2022 amanda found the perfect location to expand this vision. a vintage 1920’s office complex at the end of the strip of the historic jefferson blvd in the oak cliff neighborhood of dallas, tx. and in February of 2023 ritual space officially opened it’s doors.

at ritual space all services are booked at a gender-free, gratuity-free hourly rate and all products offered are from indie lines committed to making a difference in the industry. all products and services are cruelty free, phthalate free, paraben free, PPD free, ammonia free and free of synthetic fragrance.

ritual space isn’t just a space for amazing lived-in hair, but it’s also home to some pretty unique event offerings. one way or the other, we hope to see you soon!
